We are pleased to announce that Stockley Park has been awarded the DEFRA Bees Needs Champion Award 2026.

An email from the Minister of Nature’s Private Secretary to our local MP, Danny Beales, read:
“Stockley Park… has enhanced habitats for pollinators and other wildlife across the estate. Areas of wildflower planting have been established alongside bee hotels and a bee bank, providing valuable foraging and nesting opportunities. Species-rich marginal vegetation has also been introduced around the site’s ponds, attracting a wide range of pollinator species. The park is home to more than 140,000 trees, including lime and cherry, which create important habitat connectivity throughout the estate. Visitors can also access a network of QR-coded interpretation points, providing information on local wildlife and habitat management, helping to raise awareness of the importance of nature in urban environments.”
