Ocean Pearl Suite Opens at Hillingdon Hospital

A three year project came to fruition on 27^th April 2022 with the opening of the Ocean Pearl Suite at Hillingdon Hospital. This purpose-built facility provides a safe and private place for mothers and fathers of stillborn babies to spend precious time with their sleeping babies as a family.

Stockley Park Estates Company (SPECL) supports Hillingdon Hospitals Charity as our main charity partner. Assistance was given to the charity by advising the hospital’s Head Gardener, Pet, on which plants would work for the peaceful garden attached to the suite. Bogdan Balut, Landscape Manager of Stockley Park, was able to provide time to the project over the last year and along with members of the landscaping team, helped Pet with planting the garden and installing an irrigation system, all donated by SPECL. Pet and Bogdan are pictured below in the finished garden.

Many individuals and groups have been involved in ensuring this facility was built so it really is a community project that we are pleased to have the honour to see finished and ready for families to use.
