Planting Hillingdon Hospital’s Rehabilitation Garden

The Stockley Park Estates Company Ltd (SPECL) team were pleased to join forces with the team from Hillingdon Hospitals Charity for a planting afternoon in their new Charity Jubilee Rehabilitation Garden.

Supporting our main charity, SPECL donned gloves and trowels and helped plant 2,500 plants!

The garden has been a longtime project for the hospital, transforming an overgrown unused area to a relaxing outdoor space for rehabilitation patients and their families. Renowned garden designer, Tom Stuart-Smith, took time away from his garden at Chelsea Flower Show, and designed the garden ensuring it is wheelchair accessible, inviting and easy for the hospital gardening volunteer to maintain.

The garden will be an inviting area come the summer, when the plants are fully imbedded and furniture has been put in place.
