01.09.23

Stockley Park’s landscaping team is celebrating being awarded the Green Flag status. It is a testament to the dedication of the team and that of Stockley Park Estates Management Ltd for the estate to be granted the status for the seventh year in a row.

The Green Flag Award is a national standard benchmark for parks and green spaces in England and Wales, with the purpose of the scheme being…
• To ensure that everybody has access to quality green and other open spaces, irrespective of where they live.
• To ensure that these spaces are appropriately managed and meet the needs of the communities that they serve.
• To establish standards of good management.
• To promote and share good practices amongst the green space sector.
• To recognise and reward the hard work of managers, staff, and volunteers.

Pieter Borchardt, Estates Director, said

“We work hard as a team to ensure Stockley Park is a pleasant area for all to walk around and experience, not just those who work at the park but to all members of the local community. Receiving the Green Flag Award for the seventh year is testament to the hard work everyone at Stockley Park puts in and we are grateful to receive the recognition from the Green Flag Awards team”.

In order to receive the award, the team provided their comprehensive Biodiversity Management Plan which is followed to ensure the upkeep of the park and constant monitoring of the wildlife and plants on the Park. The management plan was reviewed by the Green Flag team who also carried out a field assessment on the site.
