Triple Win for Stockley Park

For the sixth year in a row, Stockley Park has been awarded the Green Flag Award, which recognizes and rewards well-managed parks and green spaces, with the recognizable flag already displayed at the entrance to the park.

The purpose of the Green Flag Award scheme is to…

• ensure that everybody has access to quality green and other open spaces, irrespective of where they live.
• ensure that these spaces are appropriately managed and meet the needs of the communities that they serve.
• establish standards of good management.
• promote and share good practices amongst the green space sector.
• recognise and reward the hard work of managers, staff, and volunteers.

As well as the Green Flag Award, Stockley Park is proud to be honoured with two Green Apple Awards. This award scheme recognises and awards properties who make the environment central to their aims and achievements.

The two Green Apple Awards Stockley Park has received are:

• Environmental Best Practice: Carbon Reduction
   
  For this award Stockley Park provided evidence of our commitment to reducing our carbon footprint focussing on identifying, researching, implementing and evaluating methods to reduce carbon emissions.
• Environmental Best Practice: Conservation and Wildlife Projects
  Stockley Park demonstrated our commitment to encourage wildlife into the park through the different seasonal planting, bird, insect and reptile habitats, beehives and tree management.
