Warner Bros. Discovery Meets the Stockley Park Bees

10.08.26

On 5th August 2026, the team from Stockley Park Estates Company Ltd (SPECL) welcomed colleagues from Warner Bros. Discovery (WBD) for a hands-on tour of the Stockley Park beehives as part of WBD’s Impact Day.

Keen to learn more about the bees located within the business park, the WBD team joined Landscape Manager Luke Potter and Lifestyle Manager Claire Watson for an engaging and informative experience. With the gentle colony calmly buzzing around them, participants were given a unique opportunity to look inside one of the hives while learning how SPECL manages and maintains the bees.

Luke and Claire explained the structure of a bee colony, highlighting the vital role of the Queen Bee and the importance of healthy hive management. Although the Queen herself was not spotted during the visit, there were plenty of brood cells visible, providing clear evidence that she remains active and the colony is thriving.

Following the hive tour, the WBD team continued their Impact Day by building their own solitary bee hotels and learning more about the essential role bees play in supporting biodiversity and the wider environment.

“From exploring the Stockley Park beehives to getting hands-on building our own bee hotels, it was a fantastic day filled with learning, teamwork, and, most importantly, plenty of fun. Thanks Claire and Luke from the Stockley Park team for their time, knowledge, jar’s of honey and Wildflower seeds!”
